My Favorite Podcast About Aging: The Conversations We Need To Have

What if we started looking at aging not as something to fear, but as an opportunity to grow, learn, and embrace who we're becoming? As women, we face so many expectations about how we should look, act, and feel as we get older.
Today is day 13 of The October Ultimate Blog Challenge. For today's post I have decided to talk about
one of my favorite podcasts is Wiser Than Me, hosted by Julia Louis-Dreyfus. In each episode Julia has a conversations with older women she admires. They talk about their lives, experiences, and the wisdom they've gained along the way. These conversations are honest, funny, thought-provoking, and a wonderful reminder that there is so much we can learn from women who have walked the path before us.
You can learn more about it here from her interview on CBS Sunday Morning in 2024.
Wiser Than Me wrapped up season 4 this year. I have listened to a lot of episodes, but still have some catching up to do. I left off in the middle of season 3. I was thinking about the show and wanting to get back to it. I saw she did an interview with Cyndi Lauper this year and listened to. It was really good! I am going to go back and listen to where I left off.
At the end of each episode, Julia has a conversation with her mom who is in her 90s. She tells her about the chat she had with her guest, they share laughs and her mom also shares her own experiences. Julia and her mom have a really sweet relationship.
I find this podcast comforting and inspiring about aging as a woman. In my late 40s I feel more comfortable in my skin. This seems to be a common theme with age and I think it is a nice perk!
What wisdom has age taught you? I would love to hear all about it in the comments below.

I would say travel while you're young. There is so much to see and do in this world. Go for it. I'm definitely going to check out this podcast. Thanks for sharing.
I remember Julia on Seinfeld. My mother was my go to person also. I don't really have any wisdom to pass on. Things do eventually work out.
