A Simple Solution To A Sweet Little "Problem"

2 min read

Today is day three of The Ultimate Blog Challenge. I am up early today getting ready to meet up with friends in NJ. I don't have the time to write out the post I originally wanted to. My week has been so busy with work and other responsibilities that I haven't had a chance to work ahead on posts. So for today, I thought I would share this photo of my cat Menorah from this week.

I work in a corner of our kitchen. Menorah is back in a phase where she likes to cuddle with me while I am working. She will either squish herself behind my back (as seen below) or want to be in my lap. After awhile I need to move her because it gets uncomfortable. She will usually come back and protest and make her way back on my chair.

My solution is to put another kitchen chair behind mine. That seems to be satisfactory to her. She will then usually settle in for a nap. Earlier this week she was curled up in this sweet little ball. I couldn't help taking a picture (seen on the top of this blog post). I have so many of her sleeping, because I just can't help it. There is something so heart warming when watching your fur baby sleep.

I need to get ready for my day now. It is almost 6am. I shared Menorah's adoption story in a previous blog post. You can check it out here.

I have two kittens, one old dog, and one two year-old dog. The dogs are fine. The kittens are all over the place as you know. I call one my sheet kitten because the minute she hears a bed being made she decides she needs to help make it. And being a cat, you can guess what happens. How I've worked with it? I leave the bed unmade until she falls asleep in another room.

Menorah has clearly figured out how to be your favorite coworker! I love that you added another chair just for her. She gets to stay close and you get your chair back. Everybody wins. 😊
