Vegan Food Is NOT Boring! A List Of Some Of My Favorite Vegan Recipe Creators

Updated: Jul 26, 2025

My journey to veganism all started when I noticed my body was sensitive to dairy. What started out as a 30 day experiment giving up dairy products, turned into a vegan culinary adventure. My searches for dairy-free recipes kept bringing up a lot of vegan ones. I discovered a whole new world of cuisine that used fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, beans, legumes, and grains in ways I never thought of before! I also discovered a variety of dishes from all over the world, using spices I never cooked with before.

During this time I discovered whole-food plant based eating, which only uses plant foods, is oil-free, and low in sodium. The food is flavorful and satisfying, as it relies on herbs, spices, and cooking techniques that infuse flavor. Being concerned with my family's history of heart disease and diabetes, I wanted to do what I could to prevent those issues. Whole-food plant-based recipes became a useful tool for me to eat healthy without feeling deprived.

After exploring vegan food and working on eating healthier, I became more aware of the animal agriculture system. The more I thought about this, the more my heart ached. After about a two year journey exploring veganism, I finally committed to the lifestyle to honor animals. I have been a committed vegan since April 29, 2017.

I try to eat mostly whole-food plant-based. When I want to treat myself I turn to other types of vegan recipes that may not necessarily be healthy, but don't involve any animal cruelty. As a vegan, you can eat as healthy or as unhealthy as you want, just like someone who isn't vegan.

I decided it was time to cultivate a list of some of my favorite vegan recipe creators who have inspired me over the years. I haven't made recipes from everybody I am about to list. A lot of the time I get inspired to make my own version of a dish. Whether you are a vegan, an aspiring vegan, looking to eat healthier, or someone who just likes delicious food, this list is for you!
