I did it! I stopped hiding! Today is July 31st and the last day of the July Ultimate Blog Challenge. If you haven't been following along you can check out my first blog post for the month here.
My amazing friend Kimberly Winters of the Did You Bring The Hummus Podcast and my co-host on That Vegan Morning Show, told me about this challenge and I am so glad she did!

My intention to do this challenge was to stop hiding and develop better habits around consistency. I have wanted to do blogging for years, but have always struggled showing up consistently. In my first post for the challenge I talked about my history as a people-pleaser and hiding. Even though I have healed through a lot of that stuff, there are always new layers of healing that show up for me to work on. Owning a business has brought up a lot of that residual healing to my attention. As a business owner and content creator, I would have moments of feeling motivated to create and show up and then life would happen and I would retreat. This month I showed up no matter how I felt, challenged myself, and posted anyway.
Showing up consistently for this month's challenge has taught me that I do have valuable things to say and share. It has helped me develop my writing skills and connect with myself more in a deeper way. It has helped me cultivate more self-acceptance and helped me embrace myself more for who I am.
This challenge has also given me the opportunity to meet other bloggers and learn from them. I got a chance to read and learn about other things, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to otherwise. I learned more about Sweden, Canada, and dog yoga. I learned more about spiritual practices and mindset shifts. I had the opportunity to read the vulnerable sharing of others, learning from their life experiences and feeling inspired.
So what's next for me? Well I am going to shift my focus from posting every day to at least once a week. That used to feel like an impossible goal for me to reach, but now it feels easier. If I can post every day for 31 days, then I can definitely can post at least once a week.
I am also creating content on my YouTube channel The Confident Vegan and as I mentioned before, co-hosting That Vegan Morning Show with Kimberly. We are also working on some other exciting projects together for that. Stay tuned!
If you have been following along, I want to thank you for all of your support! If you are just now finding me, I want to thank you for reading this far! Feel free to check out my other content and reach out to me here if you have any questions or want to learn about ways to work with me.
What was your favorite post of mine this month? What is something you would like me to write a post about in the future? Let me know in the comments. Talk to you soon!

Jennifer, congratulations on jumping in at all, and on writing so many posts! We hope you'll come back in October. And I hope you'll offer lots of chickpea recipes! I love chickpeas.
Congratulations on finishing, Jennifer. You've been pretty consistent and showing yourself. Life happens and we have to deal with important issues. Hope to read you again in the next challenge.
I've enjoyed reading your posts this month ... and getting to know you a little. I would have a hard time coming up with a favourite, but I think the post on bees and why you don't eat honey was one of the most memorable. It's something I've never thought about before and something I need to look into more.
Thanks for a great month. I look forward to following along your blog in the future.
Showing up though discipline and consistency is what success requires of us. I can't guarantee I'll return in October!! But anything is possible!!
Congratulations! 31 posts in 31 days is a huge accomplishment! I've very much enjoyed reading along this past month. Learning about veganism has been enlightening.
