Today Has Been Hard...

Field by the Wisdom Trail over at The Chapel Of Sacred Mirrors in Wappingers Falls, NY

Today has been hard. I didn't want to get out of bed and felt overwhelmed by a lot of things. I was up early and decided to go back to bed. I got a little extra sleep. I needed it! After breakfast, I cleaned out the fridge and went grocery shopping. I even walked the Wisdom Trail with my son this afternoon (see photo).

I tuned into my needs the best I could. There were challenging moments and times I needed to set some firm boundaries. There is food prep I would like to tonight to make the rest of my week easier. I might just save that for tomorrow. I also want to get back into crocheting. There is an easy pattern for a bag I want to make. Maybe instead of food prep, I will just relax and have fun doing that (or something else to relax). I made a vegetable soup in the crock pot yesterday. I think that's what's going to be for dinner tonight.

I wanted to post a different type of post today for the blog challenge, but I just didn't have it in me. I'm proud of myself for showing up anyway. Sometimes our days don't go as planned. Life can be difficult and overwhelming at times. I share more about this in my first blog post for this months challenge. You can check it out here.

I am proud of how I did show up today and accomplished what I had. I even didn't skip out on a blog post for this month's challenge. Priotizing what is necessary and being gentle with myself is important self-care. How are you taking care of youself today?

I cared for myself today by making some healthy food and doing a longer workout than I intended when I first got started. I needed it and I'm glad I didn't give up or tell myself that I should be doing something else. Sending you hugs, I hope tomorrow is a better day. 💚

Hey, I'm so proud of you for showing up anyway. I get having super hard days. I try my best to practice be gentle with oneself. I even have a hard days schedule for showing up in my business when i need it. Showing up is enough, if we can just take care of ourselves on hard days, that's enough. What a wonderful reminder. Thank you.
