Today is day 28 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge that I have been doing for the moth of July.
It is also National Milk Chocolate day. Seeing this has inspired me to create a list of my favorite brands of vegan chocolate products.
You do not need to include milk from cows in chocolate for it to taste good. In fact over the years my tastebuds prefer dark chocolate even more! Plant milks can also successfully be used to create dairy-free chocolate products.
Here is a list of some of my favorites.
UNREAL: UNREAL uses quality ingredients and are my go-to brand to satisfy my chocolate cravings. Not all of UNREAL's chocolate products are vegan, so make sure to check the package information before purchasing. My favorite is their Dark Chocolate Coconut Bar and their Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups.
Oreos: Did you know that regular Oreos are accidentally vegan? I try to eat treats with healthier ingredients in them, but sometimes Oreos are the only vegan friendly option if I am traveling and want something sweet. Some other Oreo varieties are vegan friendly also. Click here to read more about vegan friendly Oreo options.
Enjoy Life: Enjoy Life has a variety of chocolate chips and bars that are not only dairy-free, but free of other top allergens.
Lindt Oat Milk Truffles and Bars: These are all so good! I sometimes top vegan chocolate cupcakes I make with the Oat Milk Lindor Truffles.
Hershey's Plant Based: Hershey's also added an oat milk line to their products that includes bars and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
Looking for an easy no-bake treat? Check out this veganized version of Oreo truffles I made.
What are your favorite dairy-free chocolate products? Let me know in the comments.
I haven't tried any dairy-free chocolate yet, but I am looking forward to trying the oat milk version, as I'm thinking that my fussy digestive system would be grateful for that. Gluten free is a necessity for me, so that is a consideration. As for favorite chocolate, there is a nearby store where they sell chocolates that I believe they make themselves. Their truffles, especially the ones made with dark chocolate are decadent and delicious. It's a real treat but that will have to wait since, in this weather, chocolate is likely to melt before I can get it home!
great reference for us chocolate lovers!
