New Year, New Website (Reflections, Announcements, and Kicking Off Another Ultimate Blog Challenge)

Wow! It is officially 2026! I feel that the older I get, the faster time moves! Like any other year 2025 was a mixture of experiences and growth, however it did have additional challenges that I didn't anticipate. Being on the other side of things, I feel a sense of inner peace and evolution. I have settled in to a new way of being and developed a new level of acceptance and understanding.

I went back to seeing a therapist to help me process complicated emotions that resurfaced for me. Things that I thought I had long processed and dealt with, showed up with new layers for me to process. It was emotionally excruciating at times. Allowing myself to face what was coming up for me and give it the space to show me what it wanted to show me, has lead to a next level of inner healing for me. I feel more ready than ever to boldly be myself and share with the world.

One amazing thing that did take place in 2025 was launching That Vegan Morning Show with my dear friend Kimberly Winters of the Did You Bring The Hummus? podcast. We had been planning this for months and finally had launched on 3/17/25. We have had many wonderful conversations and guests. We took a two week break at the end of December and will be kicking off season two live on Monday 1/05/26 at 7am Eastern. Click here to join us or to watch the replay.

We are also leading a special Veganuary experience for beginners during the month of January. If you are curious about going vegan or know somebody who is, there is still time to sign up here.

This Experience Is For You If:

  • You feel called to veganism but don’t know where to start

  • You’re emotionally moved by animal suffering but feel overwhelmed

  • You’re worried about family reactions or social pressure

  • You feel intimidated by vegan cooking

  • You want guidance that feels kind, not extreme

Going on this journey with Kimberly has been a transformative experience for me. Spending time with her and creating together, feel like magic. I am excited to see where 2026 takes us!

Lastly, I have been evolving with my work on my platform The Confident Vegan. At the end of November I released my free Heart Healthy Baking Recipe Book. These recipes are vegan, oil-free, whole-food plant-based, and can be made gluten-free. It took me awhile to put this together and felt like a huge accomplishment when I finally was able to put it out there. Another big accomplishment is today I am launching my new website! This is the first blog post I am creating for it! (I was able to transfer my blog posts from the other website.) I started work on this updated website just over a year ago. I was craving an updated site, but when I started working on it, what started out as flow quickly shut down. I felt stuck and a little lost with myself. Taking a step back for a few months to focus on other things allowed me to show up again with confidence and clarity. During this time I was able to do the inner healing I needed to do. I also completed Victoria Moran's program Mainstreet Vegan Academy, and became a certified Vegan Lifestyle Coach and Educator. This experience has taught me that it is okay to take a step back and not force things to happen. Sometimes our attention needs to go elsewhere, so that we can come back to it with a new updated perspective. I needed to find other parts of myself that were buried deep inside. I am excited to kick of 2026 by launching it.

I think this is a good place to stop writing for today. I have so much more to share with you this month during the blog challenge. What big insights did you receive during 2025? Let me know in the comments.

Jennifer Shlomovich is a Plant-Powered Lifestyle-Educator on a mission to help others improve their health by eating more plants.. As the only vegan in her household, she knows firsthand how challenging it can be to stay true to your values when the people around you aren’t on the same path. For years, she put everyone else’s needs ahead of her own, but through her journey, she discovered the power of setting boundaries, living by her values, and confidently prioritizing her well-being. On her YouTube channel, The Confident Vegan, she shares inspiring interviews, practical tips, and empowering conversations about what it really means to live in alignment with your values. She is also the co-host of That Vegan Morning Show with Kimberly Winters of the Did You Bring The Hummus podcast.

You’ve had a busy and fruitful year, Jennifer. I envy your youth and energy. I’m a tired and retired person.

Thanks so much for sharing Jen! It looks like you had some great personal successes last year - and that the reality of doing so is not an easy journey. And that is OK! I agree with you that without some pain and discomfort true healing cannot happen. Thanks for the insight. I am excited for you in all you got started and for you to continue your growth in the new year.
