My name is Jennifer Shlomovich and I am a Plant-Powered Lifestyle-Educator on a mission to help others improve their health by eating more plants.
Whole-food, plant-based eating has helped me enjoy delicious food without feeling deprived — and it’s become an essential part of caring for my health. Heart disease runs in my family, and in 2007, I lost my mom to a heart attack. That loss changed everything for me. It inspired me to be proactive with my own health and to educate others on how they can nourish and protect their hearts through the power of food.
My journey to veganism started out for my health and evolved to a deeper commitment for the animals. As the only vegan in my household, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to stay true to your values when the people around you aren’t on the same path. As a recovering people-pleaser, I used to put everyone else’s needs ahead of my own. Through my journey, I discovered the power of setting boundaries, living by my values, and confidently prioritizing my well-being. I am now on a mission to help others do the same.
